on 5:07 you can see how the air streaam is going behind the dome, this gives you an low pressure zone in the back as well, I think the dome shouldn't be that corved, just about 60 degree from the propeller would be fine and not about 120 degree like your design.

Mate i remember I did electromagnetism in my degree and there was a problem that was analogous to this but I've never thought about using this as a mean of powering a wheel. Really cool

Two things come to mind: First would be that it could be entertaining to stick with the lighter projectiles and just use more of them. Set up your trigger like for the mult-shot rubber band guns so that it can launch one after another on every time it comes around and see how many you can get in the air at once. Second, your flywheel speed seems to be limited by how fast you can turn the crank. Replace the timing belt with a rope pinned between two disks on each shaft and the gear ratio will switch sides with each rotation so you have the high torque to get it started and then it shifts up to higher RPM. You won't be able to just spin it forever waiting for the perfect moment, but you didn't seem to be doing that anyway. Alternatively, salvage the gear cassette and derailleur off an old bicycle so you can shift it up whenever you start having trouble keeping up with the crank speed.

I would suggest utilizing the Eddy currents to store energy so it can act as an electric bike when needed. The heat is generated from those unutilized currents. That would solve your inefficiency.

I know this is an old video, but is there any chance you can make a powershaft bicycle?

Perhaps you could construct the same device, but where the flywheel makes contact with the glass plate, use a diamagnetic materials and a neodymium magnet to prevent actual contact. You could use bismuth for that purpose. The bismuth would repel any magnetic charge applied to it so the flywheel remains truly levitating and there's no friction at all except for air resistance, which could be mitigated by placing the whole contraption in a vacuum chamber.
